PVC Union
Product Description
PVC unions fit two pipes together. Unlike couplings, however, unions are designed to be a semi-permanent solution. These can easily be removed and replaced as needed, because they require no adhesive. This makes them the best choice when contractors are creating systems that may need to be changed or updated at a later date, or when creating systems that need to be regularly taken apart, either to move them or to inspect them.
Useful Info:
A union is used to join together two pieces of PVC pipe, but provides the ability to easily separate them later.
PVC solvent cement should be used along with cleaner to glue the pipes and fitting together.
The pipes to be joined must be of the same diameter.
Use with PVC pipe manufactured to BS 3505 class C or class E and EN 1452-2.
Maximum operating pressures of 15 bar (1/2″ to 6″) and 9 bar (8″).
Use with cold water only.
